Easily Solve This Kitty Litter Box Problem, & Learn Quick TIME SAVING Tricks to Make Clean-Up a Breeze!
Cats missing the cat litter box can happen once in a while.
I have some ideas to solve this kitty litter box problem.
Plus, to solve the hassle of cleaning up after this cat litter box problem, I have a very easy solution.
Missing Cat Litter Box Problem: Easily Solve This Kitty Litter Box Problem
If your cat is missing the cat litter box a lot, you can purchase a larger kitty box to solve the cat litter box problem.
If your box has a removable rim, I'd try removing it. I found that Fluff often hit the rim, and
then her urine would roll off it onto the floor.
Or you can purchase a kitty litter box that is enclosed. This will prevent your cat from standing in their box, with
their bum positioned outside of it.
Cat Missing Cat Litter Box Problem: Quick Clean-Up Tips
Now that Fluff, my cat, is getting older, I find she is sometimes missing her cat litter box. She goes into her kitty litter box with good intentions, but she doesn't always squat in the middle. Therefore, she has her cute little bum hanging just over the edge of the box, and then... woops!
The room that her kitty box is in is carpeted, so it is quite a hassle to clean.
Luckily I've always put an extra piece of carpet under her box just incase of such cat litter box problems. I purchase a small roll at a carpet store. They always have bits left over from the end of the roll, so you can purchase them inexpensively. I then cut the roll into large pieces which are about two feet wider than her box. For extra protection I lay a plastic garbage bag under the carpet. Please ensure the bag doesn't stick out as it can be dangerous to your cat.
Whenever Fluff urinates on this carpet accidentally, I would through it out, and put down a clean piece.
But now I've discovered an even better way to protect the floor from messes, and solve this cat litter box problem.
Find something made out of hard plastic, which has a bit of a rim on it, and use this under your kitty box instead. I use a large plastic mat for rain boots, but you could also use a lid from one of those large plastic storage boxes.
Now when accidents happen, you just have to drain the lid and give it a quick wash!
Below are a few products to help keep the kitty litter box and area clean and free of odor.
